In the picturesque setting of Lake Garda, the D-One Italia Cup took place last weekend at Fraglia Vela Desenzano. Despite uncertain weather conditions, characterized by very light winds, sailing enthusiasts were able to enjoy two days of thrilling and competitive races.
The Race Committee, led by President Mino Miniati, demonstrated great skill in organizing the races, managing to complete a regatta both on Saturday and Sunday, making the most of the brief moments of breeze that arose.
Despite the limited number of races, the excitement on the water was palpable, with participants giving their all to compete for the title. In the end, it was Enrico Ciferri from Circolo Nautico Vernazzolesi who triumphed, securing a double victory and showcasing great mastery in handling the changing wind conditions. Following closely behind were Alessandro Gasparini from LNI Belluno and Alberto Franceschi from LNI Rapallo, both demonstrating exceptional technical and tactical skills.
The competition was not only an opportunity to challenge each other at sea, but also to socialize on land.
The D-One Italia Cup in Desenzano on Lake Garda confirms itself as a must-attend event for
sailing enthusiasts, bringing together competition, fun, and community spirit in a unique and stunning setting and Devoti Sailing is very proud of the d-one boat and class. Congratulations to the Class for supporting the sailors who love our Devoti boat, which we have designed with passion.
